Several local standouts nominated for McDonald's All-American Game

Several in-state basketball standouts were among the nominees named on Monday for the McDonald’s All-American Game.

Center Grove’s Trayce Jackson-Davis, Cathedral’s Armaan Franklin, Carmel’s John-Michael Mulloy and LaLumiere’s Keion Brooks Jr. were among the 13 players from Indiana schools nominated on the boys’ side.

On the girls’ side, Warren Central’s Shaila Beeler and Cydni Dodd and North Central’s Rikki Harris were among the 10 in-state players nominated.

The 42nd annual McDonald’s All-American Game will be played on March 27 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. New Albany’s Romeo Langford and Heritage Christian’s Katlyn Gilbert were named to the team last year.

The 24-player boys team and 24-player girls team will be revealed on Jan. 24 at 3 p.m. on ESPN.
